Fun Fact: Mojang was actually sold because managing Mojang was incredibly stressful to Notch. He put his share of Mojang up for sale to anyone (via Twitter lmao), and I guess Microsoft was the highest bidder.

You know the nostalgic minecraft music that plays at random during the game? Yeah, the artist C418, has stopped producing music for minecraft. I believe Microsoft (new owner of minecraft) will remove C418's audio from the game at some point in its lifetime.
This isn't anything new, nor am I trying to say Microsoft is bad. It's just business. It's just sad.
Edit: The reason (that I know of) for C418's leave is mainly lawyers and rights. Mojang was licensed C418's music. When Microsoft bought Mojang they wanted to aquire the rights to C418's music. (This is part of the business aspect I mentioned before.)
However, C418 wanted all rights to his music. There is nothing wrong with that, may I add. And so, with the lawyers that were needed to make it work, C418 took his leave from Minecraft's music production.
If Microsoft removes the music we all know and love, it would be from the lack of licensing required to keep C418's music. (Or from contracts ending.)
This reminds me of two best friends parting ways. It will be something to miss. And of course there will be new music from new artists, but I can say confidently, it will never be the same.
That actually explains a lot why I can't hear the music anymore 😕
@Sean Williams That is certainly a good idea, but it's the combination of silence and music for me. You spend all morning mining out a place to make a village, and are greeted by noon with one of C418's tracks. It makes the game memorable.

Fun Fact: EA was the second company to be added to game pass and makes up about 110 games of the service. Bethesda was first, but only originally for DOOM Eternal.
I have to say, every company bought by Microsoft has been doing very well and thrived. They know how to leverage those properties and overhaul their management, something companies like Blizzard and Activision really REALLY need. I know concentrating so many properties under one only company can be risky, but Microsoft has so far done a good job

@Ducklinglibrary my point being that the domain brainwashed her 100% rampant self thus pretty much mind controlling her to the point where she finally snapped back and took over again when she saw john floating in space “dead” and then doing what she could because of what the virus from rampancy and the domain did, making her look like the villain. Thats my thoughts on what happened since its a bit confusing

Honestly, in the past I would have been against this, nut all these companies except Mojang were already money hungry worthless game companies by the time they were bought. Minecraft was the only game that ended up being more predatory by the time it came out, but even then it wasn't loot boxes, just custom stuff you could still get similar of for free with mods.

@Svendin Svinderlin Competition doesn't make good products, and give good quality control. Good companies with good leadership do. It doesn't matter if there is one company doing everything.
Not everyone is motivated by greed. I would rather there be one big company that works hard to please both creators and fans. Instead of 50 greedy companies that are all fucking over the creators and fans so they can get more money. Simple fact bud 49 greedy companies will be outcompeted by the 1 good company. The results of any competition are a winner and a loser, when it's business that's the competition than the best business practices win. Infinite competition is not the goal, the goal is setting an industry standard that can't be broken by companies wanting a cheap buck.
I'm sorry don't mean to sound rude, just telling you my impression but it's kind of annoying when people think competition is a necessity for good products. It just makes you sound like a right wing ideologue not someone who actually understands business.
