When MJ was down and the pressure was mounting, he didn't look for a savior to rescue him or a scapegoat to provide an excuse as to why they lost. Instead, he took it upon himself to go and cease the moment. He wasn't afraid to fail. He is truly the Greatest of all time!

It is still incredible to me that no Chicago Bull possesses the ball in the final minute and 42 seconds. Michael grabs every rebound, takes every single shot, every free throw, even steals the ball. The only thing he didn’t do was inbound the ball to himself.

The last 3 minutes of that game shows why Jordan is the greatest ever. They needed every point, he got to the line and made all 4 free throws, got the steal off his missed 3 pointer. And to not clear to get the steal from Malone was just having bball iq.I mean damn he played both sides of the court. BBall IQ, defense, offense and that killer instinct. So he had 8 points and 2 steals in 2.5 minutes

If Jordan would have won 5 more championships to make it eleven like Robinson who had 11 then I would agree. Robinson is the greatest player to ever play the game. Then its Jordan then Wilt Chamberlin who played against Robinson all those 11 years.

He went Thanos in that last 41 seconds. NO ONE ELSE on the Bulls touched the ball. MJ literally went and snatched a title away from two of the 50 best players who ever lived, on their floor, with a skeleton cast of teammates. It's just unreal how he ended his Chicago run. It's beyond sports...it was theater. The most watched game in the history of the NBA and MJ ended with the greatest flourish of all time.

Jordan was so clutch at the end, he single handedly finished the game. Drew a foul to stop the clock then sank both free throws, quick 4 second score to put the Bulls down by 1, forced a takeaway, then let the clock run and sank the final bucket to go up by 1 with 5 seconds left. Simply amazing. He knows how to win.

his shots were coming up short so he attacked the basket to get layups or draw a foul because each foul would put him at the line. The style of play was different then. Today they would just start launching 3's. They don't even bother doing anything else, it ruined the game IMO

Phil Jackson talked about this in an interview before. He mentioned how Michael’s jumpshot hadn’t been falling this game, he was letting his hand go early and not following through. So when Bulls called the timeout at 41 seconds, he told michael as soon as you get the ball attack the basket immediately, don’t settle for a shot, then after you score (which I love how Phil was so confident predicting MJ would score), he told Michael that on defense Jazz are gonna run the cross baseline pick to Malone. Phil told MJ to come around and try to see if he can get a strip on the ball. Same play Michael goes down and scores, on a jumpshot I might add, which he makes sure to follow through lol. Crazy how in unison Phil and Mike were, Phil with the awareness and advice for MJ, and of course Michael went out and executed to perfection. Shows how much they both trusted each other.

Everything demonstrated in this last quarter from Jordan: defence, steals, pressure, mental maturity, offence, team work and leadership mixed with an insatiable will to win, players like this come once in a lifetime, he is the greatest basketball player The world has ever seen because he is the complete player. There was even a computer game released in the 90s where the developer decided not to include Michael Jordan as a player you could access because he’d be too good and it would ruin the game lol.

I remember watching this game at my mother's in law house with my brother in law down in the basement, at the very end when Stockton shoots and fails as the ball rebounds and the clock expires, I remember my brother in law saying "They won" we looked each other and started jumping of joy, it was awesome, my wife was in the living room with her mom and came down running because they heard all the noise we were making, they were not basketball fans so they didn't understand why we were so happy.

The best thing about Jordan is that he NEVER gives up. Most people, there at the end when Malone had the ball would have just ran down the court to get ready to defend. But not Jordan. He is simply on another level, beyond even the best then and now.
And on the winning shot, he really didn't push Russell. His hand was on Russell, yes, but when Jordan stopped on a dime to make the shot, Russell got his ankles broken basically, and caused the illusion that he was pushed. I watched it live, and it seems just like yesterday. Since Jordan left, I really haven't watched much basketball, though I did watch Lebron through the playoffs this year. He is very good, in the ball park of Jordan talent-wise, but here's the difference: Lebron makes mistakes that Jordan never did, such as errant passes, passing when he should continue a drive to the hoop, complaining to a ref while the other team is taking the ball back across the court.

@M What does this have to do with the comment you replied to or the video? Basketball was created around 1891 where as soccer has been around much much longer than that so of course it's going to be more popular and have more fans worldwide. Who brags about sport popularity? Thats Bozo commenting at it's finest! Also did you know that Michael Jordan has part ownership of Paris Saint-Germain and LeBron James has partial ownership of Liverpool FC?
