It's a ghost kitchen, not an actual restaurant. That's why there's no seating inside, labels or storefront for the restaurant outside. It's meant to make all it's money through food delivery services.

Holy shit, the part with the $150 bill at Hollywood Diner got me lol. Idk if it's because it's NYC or because COVID but I've been living abroad for three years and can't imagine paying that much for that amount of food. A NICE meal for three/four people in this country, with as much wine as you can handle, would probably come out to about $150.

@BlueIsSuperior Yep. That’s why I always google the restaurant on delivery apps to see 1) if they are real or just a ghost kitchen and 2) if they have decent reviews. I avoid these ghost kitchens like the plague.
It's what's called a ghost kitchen just a place where people make food and the whole "business" is on delivery apps not a real restaurant

I frequented the Hollywood diner for many years. The food was always outstanding. I’m wondering if they’re under new ownership or management since I last visited.

Thank you for doing this because I am going to NY as my first experience in March. So I'm making a list of places to go eat & try like the vegan places and the hot dogs

It's called a cloud kitchen, where a lot of doordash restaurants actually cook out of and dashers go there to pick up the food.
Realistically, the only people who go on Yelp to review are those who are upset and Karen enough to write a review
