Mr. Ross you're a huge creative influence for me (and your depiction of DC's Starman Thom Kallor is one of my favs, thank you).

I have always wanted to reach for the stars and become a comic book writer. Obviously I have my doubts, but I am usually relieved, yet surprised, when people say to hold on to those dreams. Thank you for being one of those people. The passion you put into your art truly inspires me. It does not only inspire me in the sense that yours is my favorite superhero art, though it is. Rather, it reminds me that something can be done with my passion for Superman. I'll never forget when Mark Waid said something along the lines of "as soon as I discovered Superman, I knew I wanted to work with him for the rest of my life" from Superheroes Decoded on the History Channel. Keep doing what you do, sir; it clearly fills the world with wonder and hope. I consider myself an example of that. Thank you.

The best art I had ever seen in comics was Dan Brereton's in DC's Legends of the World's Finest. Then I read Kingdom Come and it made Brereton look bad. Alex is so much "overpowered"....

+Albert Mas, absolutely true, there is no comparison with Jim Lee's in-depth knowledge and perfect mastery and the approximate and unnatural rendering of Jim Lee's characters and in addition, with the same faces and lack of expression.

Alex is much better than Jim Lee. In every way. And much much better than the rest. His characters are always perfect, much more detail in both characters and backgrounds, nearly perfect panel composition...I could go on. And yes, we can argue different styles but until today, no one like Alex has the ability to show us human characters even in the weirdest poses. The rest sometimes you must imagine a if character is human or just a caricature.

are different styles and choices. Alex is no better than Jim Lee just because he paints the infez of passing nankim. know how to differentiate style from art quality. are completely different things

He's right about caring about the little things. People do notice. Would explain why his art is just about perfect. :)

    • Dr Manhattan

Zinogg being forced by marvel to simply do covers for boring books... They could've had him on legacy to build hype (love esad ribic too tho)
