Steph was being brutally honest
yep
Kobe 24 😁👍🏆🏀🌷💸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@sk So you're saying the bulls don't have much basketball skills, so they rely on their wrestling skills. Who dribbles well there? who shoots well? who runs faster? Who has better steals?
@Delray Harris Bulls will dunk 10X, while Curry shoots 3s 10X. That makes it 20points for the bulls and 30 points for the warriors
@Dero89 So they'll just beat him in the conference finals, like they did 9 times then
It's hard not to like this guy. Amazing talent, and a genuinely good guy too.
eyy
MEM GSW 3 2 😁😀😳😲

@Gaven L Robertson L manz
oh no, its pretty easy lol
I love the way that he agreed with him being the best in several things LMAO
@That 90s show Cause hes confident in his abilities?

Steph Curry is such a great player & person, I love these in depth interviews on his opinions!
Steph never doubted his ability and teammates
He's really confident on this one I love it
DBAG
Great interview. He was very open and honest. 90's bulls were a different type of beast and they dominated during an era that was increasingly physical. Those guys were almost playing Prison ball. You zapped these talented young men back in time, they'll put up some numbers, but they won't dominate at all. Imagine the defensive rules for Curry if he was playing the 90's Pistons.... SMH
@Clover (contd) Steph had troubles with his own brother in a game. He got yanked 4x's by Seth. Teleport him back to the 90's and put his talent up against Mcmillian or Mookie Blaylock, its over. They'll drag him into deep waters, where everyone believes he's been already multiple times.
@UCvo9NNeFUcVdP-R4og7r_xg Gary Payton back in the day was great, but lets be honest... He didnt have nearly a defensive iq as some guard defenders today.... Back in the day there was no player who could swich 1 through 5, now there are entire ROSTERS who can almost do that... Hakeem is the best inside defender oat up there with Bill Russel... But those guys never faced ofenses so advance that forced them to constantly swich between the fastest and the strongest players in a matter of seconds, If those guys played against guys like Giannis, Jimmy Buttler, Embiid or Ja Morant they would do fine... But teams back then would not adjust to the offball movement and constant passing that there is today.... MJ, Pippen, Rodman, Payton... etc... are some of the most elite ON BALL defenders... but Curry and Klay are just unguardable if you dont have good communication and swich constantly on screens... Now Durant would be ungardable in Isolation... There was no player back in the 90s thats at least 6,9 and was as quick as Durant... Kevin Durant would be basically a taller version of MJ with a better 3pt %...
@Clover Curry, Klay and KD would get obliterated by Bruce Bowen, Dennis Rodman or Gary Payton a.k.a The Glove. I respect your opinion, brotha, but that's where it ends. Have a great day. (Scottie Pippen would too)
The 90s were a very physical era in the paint, but the 90s have some of the worse outside defense in NBA history... 3 point Shooters would destroy any tough and physical team like the pistons or the super sonics, they had no outside defense at all... Thats why MJ got so many points off open shots... Curry, Klay and KD would torture any 90s defender ...
@Beth De Guzman why you refer the boys as her all the time haha
this is GQ’s most inspirational video 😄
Yes
Look at curry man so inspirational
Look @ Curry Man 🙌
For all the people who took his "confidence" the wrong way (I've seen Twitter and TikTok), this is an active captain for an active team. Of course he's he's going to bet on his team all the time. Whether he truly believes it or not, we'll never know 😅
Shuddup
Because those people never heard Jordan, Bird, Johnson, etc. answer questions like these. You're only cocky if you can't back it up. If you can back it up, you're just correct. Curry is correct.
Yeah we'll find out his real thoughts when he retires. An active player needs to believe they'll win no matter what.
I don't watch basketball but this interview was amazing for how honest he was.
I watch basketball and I too was amazed with his honesty. Love you bro.
Depends very much on which rules they're playing on. Basketball nowadays is pretty much a no contact sport and offers a safety shooting zone on situations, so if they played by todays rules, the bulls would lose, but if they played in the era of the Bulls, where Rodman and pippin would actually be allowed to press up and apply literal pressure, they wouldn't be able to get in as many of those shots as they liked. Different era's, different rules.
I love that they brought steph to come and do this was so fun to watch. hes so inspirational
Curry has mastered the art of balancing competitive speech with playful speech. There's no disrespect in his answers. Always cool to watch.
Talking about likes ruined it

Steph Curry is such a great player & person, I love these in depth interviews on his opinions!
Curry has mastered the art of balancing competitive speech with playful speech. There's no disrespect in his answers. Always cool to watch
Always great to see these questions answered by humble guys such as Steph and Giannis
The fact that he said Tony Allen was one of the toughest people to guard him and Kobe said the same thing proves how lethal Tony Allen really was
@Bryan Foster well, voters tend to be biased for centers when it comes to dpoy rankings, and for good reason too. Centers control defenses better than perimeter defenders can. That said, i think lebron should have won dpoy that year
@Cam James why even bring up the color of someones skin? what does it have to do with my comment? He was a terrific defender in the nba.
Kobe ate his lunch every day.
Not really trying to bash someone else to compliment this guy, but Marc gasol’s DPOY always confused me. Like, he’s not best defensive player on his own team, how is he DPOY.
Curry has mastered the art of balancing competitive speech with playful speech. There's no disrespect in his answers. Always cool to watch
Appreciate your insight, love you.
Gotta love SIR Curry so relaxed and down Too earth ☺
Been a fan of steph since 12, Been my favorite player since 13, warriors fan since 2010. Got him on my fantasy team this year finally. And this has been his most mid season
wow...Steph was actually super down to earth. I don't watch the warriors play much and don't really follow steph but this was really nice to watch. Go Steph!
I love how Curry doesn't try to be all super humble with his answers and if asked who is better at something which common people would say is him, he says it's himself and answers truthfully
Really that’s what I didn’t like i forgot how cocky he is lol
@navynugget7 lmao you have no idea what you're talking about.
@navynugget7 yeah so that’s why they have the top ranked defense in the league… 🤦🏾♂️
@navynugget7 110 is not the league nor close to it. The modern numbers are also inflated by 3pt shots and increased pace. If the bulls played in this era, their ppg allowed would increase.
I don't think so assuming the Bulls used their defensive approach given the amount of off-ball action the warriors have. It's incredibly difficult for even elite defenders to play them without switching and advanced rotations. The triangle is also much easier to defend than modern offenses.
The fact he said himself that Klay's shot is prettier just shows how humble he is
Laughed so hard after hearing if we losing at half someone getting yelled at by draymond 😂
The thing about the 1996 bulls is yea the 2017 warriors are more likely to win against more teams the issue is the against the 1996 bulls I doubt it because they have a counter toward the play style of the warriors that being that their perimeter defense was phenomenal and that’s a huge counter to the warriors who thrive on perimeter shooting Idk if curry can even be guarded but lowkey klay can one things for sure Im not entirely sure that the bulls can beat them with man to man it’s possible that they need zone defense to cover more ground and defend the outer zones better
2:51 lol "we never travel, we never foul anybody" that was actually funny
"Can't be good at everything, big fella!"
The dude mixes humility with trash talk so well.
DBAG
That wasn't a trashtalk, thats actually a realtalk
@Evan VanSickle no he cant

I love Steph he seems like a great guy
Como eu queria tanto esse vídeo legendado…
The fact that he takes time to react to his fans is super dope as I always said man Curry is a super dope soul…
So what curry is saying is ITS ABOUT DRIVE ITS ABOUT POWER
I love steph so much. So down to earth
"Can't be good at everything"
thank you 🙏 for being brutally honest
I appreciate you even more.
"Can the warrior's with a healthy KD beat the 96' Bulls?"
Curry: Yes! Absolutely.
Jordan: And i took that personally
Steph, I always thought Jordan was the best player I've ever seen (in my lifetime of 36 years, no disrespect to Wilt, Bill, etc), but you are the best shooter, for sure, and I thoroughly enjoy watching you smoke em on the court. Keep it up.
The reason why I like Steph Curry, is because he is so cool and chill. His personality is pretty much "go with the flow" and he is imperturbable. That guy's attitude towards life can be appreciated.
“If we’re losing, most likely somebody’s getting yelled at by Draymond”
I wouldn't imagine it any other way haha
Lmao😂
Rdc already knew that
@Baba Aljailani Probably not cause that will be silly, but he definitely took responsibility and own the mistake.
@yxngmargielaa Reading plays, playing defense, getting guys involved both in offense and defense, finding open spots, motivating and lecturing the team.
His impact doesn't show on the stat sheet but if you're a basketball junkie and watch a lot of basketball you'll see why he's a great player to have
The fact that this guy was shooting in legendary fashion while not having the best vision just shows that he was truly blessed as a shooter. Also, he seems like a pretty chill guy in this interview.
@5:17 Him saying “I won!” Got me dead 😂😂😂
I like his response to the dunk question 😂
This was really cool, love Steph and his perspective.
"Doesn't really matter what position you play, it's can you really play basketball" is factual.
@Beavis no unique style??? you watch doncic curry durant giannis and basically eveyrt nba lkayer has a unique style you dont watch basketball so dont talk
@Pho3nix Zr the era of basketball you watch, todays era, is unbearable. No unique style of play, no positions, everybody looks like a drone out there. Guess that fits the current times well.
@Beavis do u even watch the nba there are tradmark play styles what are you on the warriors off ball movement makes it funner to watch you clearly don’t watch basketball
Actually a perfect example of why basketball is unwatchable today, since nobody is a role player anymore and stands out, everyone shooting the ball everywhere creating no trademark identities
Curry has facts
Steph curry will never be stopped he is my most favorite player and thanks to him i am a huge warriors fan and i watch his highlights every game and i go outside and pretend like i am Steph curry he is my hero in basketball and all of the famous people i can name he has inspired me to try basketball thank you curry go golden state warriors 🏀🏀🏆🏆🏆🥇🥇🥇💯💯
WHEN HE SAID " cant be good at everything big fells" hit me like a meteor, Just like MJ couldnt do free throws, Chef cant do dunks.
Well of course MJ couldn't do free throws he needs to move to shoot its a weird thing with some basketball players
This man is the most humble and gracious person .The way how these questions are answered.. not overly confident but just perfect answers.
If I could ask a question to Steph, I would ask if he thinks he would have been as successful if he played for another team.
In my opinion this is the best "actually me" video so far. Steph Curry is just an honest person that dont have any fear to say what he thinks about others and himself. Look at Curry man, so inspirational 😂
haha
Curry
@Andy D he love u too
Rebound
Jesus loves you
more Steph please 👌🏽 this was fun
It's amazing how steph is so down to earth and knows his weaknesses (the most down to earth great player ever) he is so badassss because he works on and improves upon his weaknesses.... and that's he just gets better and better.... that being said.... HE'S THE BEST SHOOTER... EVER.... PERIOD!!!
The fact that he takes time to react to his fans is super dope as I always said man Curry is a super dope soul…
Love this guy, class act ! ( no way they beat those bulls haha)
No one has dominated the art of the three pointer like Steph Curry did.
@Kc plssss💀
wwwhhhaaattt
look at mans so inspirational
Klay Thompson did
0:55 if it's in the "don't breathe on the shooter while playing defense" era he played in he has some chance, tho pippen, rodman, and jordan are all excellent defenders that could absolutely shut him down, even without being able to play actual defense. playing with rules that favor basketball as a sport rather than catering to role player turned stars and their chances of winning anything are very slim. remember, curry cannot play defense to save his life, he's essentially a role player in the 90's like his coach kerr.
dude has such a cool spirit. love this man and the way he speaks 🐐
To very simply answer this question. I think this is the closest matchup in history to actually end with a tie after the refs couldn’t handle another overtime.
As good as he is and how impressive the gsw were the game in 96 was wayyy more physical and very different and I don’t think they would hang with the bulls because of that.
Amazing Gentleman, Guy of Great Character.
Gotta admit Curry’s one of the best nba players right now but mj and Kobe are still on top mj is better 2nd best is Kobe etc etc
I like how Steph answer so many questions because most celebrities go on here and answer like 6 or 7 questions .
When you say Big Bro always win I’m a little brother that got me feeling emotional thanks Steph
Literally the best answer to all those asking how they can shoot like steph: “The amount of shots I took since I was 5, you gotta take that many shots.”
Well that's true tho. You have to get those reps to shoot that well, it's either on the gym or in game. Pretty sure a guy like him shoots thousands of shots in just one practice to have that muscle memory, so when those situation comes into play he'll be confident taking those shots
these bots are the most annoying thing ever

WAY TO GO WARDELL. THANKS FOR THE RESPONSES!
I love the response to the Bulls v Warriors question. Though I don't necessarily agree(ruleset is especially relevant in this matchup), I'm glad he has the guts to not just take the copout answer.

That was the best line lol

As a curry fan this video was so fun. Love hearing curry's opinion about some of this stuff lmaooo
@Hating Timmy Lol Curry won without KD and lol,
KD never won any ring with WestBrick
@Yohan Brual Curry dropped him off lol wdym. Yeah Draymond approached him but Curry beat KD
@Ken123168 no he didnt? I think someone said its draymond
Flight couldn't get his smile off his face the whole time watching this inspirational video. 😂
Love Curry!
Look at Curry man so inspirational 🐐🤍
Look at Curry man, so inspirational
The fact that Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant & Steph Curry said Tony Allen played the best defense against them is incredible.
it was actually a stupid ACL injury that made Tony play the he did, he was one of the best up and coming players in the league I wanna say about 2009 on the Celtics then boom ACL injury.
@Ryan McDaniel I mean ya but there’s an old saying that will always always happen unless your an all time great at defense
“Great offense beats great defense”
not a popular opinion, but every game i watched seemed like Ben simmons gave him a rly rly hard time every time they played the 76r's
@TonexTiger he said, outside of seth, it's tony allen or avery bradley.
DBAG
Fun facts:
Curry and Lebron respect each other..
Meanwhile haters fighting each other for who's the best even this two already a best player..
5:33 he didnt thought twice to give that answer
I would have asked something like "How would you do against in-his-prime Gary Payton?" or "Have you ever been hand checked in a basketball game?"
Man steph is somehow inspiring in interviews
What I love about Steph is how comfortable he is in being himself... a bright, engaging, self-confident man with great values and a sense of humor. Warriors fans are very fortunate to have this man leading their team. We're hoping there will be another championship this year and the return of Klay is certainly going to help this already loaded team.
Same
@Aaron Kneesmith they got morant it’s fine n remember this comment I want to c ya reply
@Aaron Kneesmith we also didn’t have james wiseman & experience gonna play a big role once playoffs start
@DripzV Memphis don’t have Brooks and Adams
I am a Golden State Warriors fan and a Curry fan it was really fun hearing him answer this questions i like how just answer them like it was nothing
He's in a slump I would like to see him answer these again
3:27 Stephen A is bounding his head on the table right now with tears
"I wonder what Steph Curry's favorite 3-1joke is" 🤣
Yo the way he respectfully answered the point guard question was amazing 😂. Look at Curry man, so inspiration

@A7xFo look all I’m saying is 5 curry’s would get bullied on the boards paint.
Positions don't really matter. As long as all 5 players know how to play each position and are able to match up against their opponents, it wouldn't really matter if you had 5 point guards on the court. Of course not every player is able to play every position, and it's tough without players of certain sizes, but in reality you could have 5 Curry's or 5 Iverson's on the court and as long as they can effectively play both sides of the ball against their opponents, size/positions are irrelevant.
@Ram R I do watch the games and his play style is way more like a shooting guard than a point guard. It’s not hating cause he is a great basketball player but he plays like a sg. Heck I have him as the 2nd best player of the 2010s over KD
I love these GQ videos!
"Can't be good at everything" tell that to Larry Bird and Jordan. lol! Good stuff!
he is more confident than i think
i love it
Steph: “Big brother’s always going to win”
I really hope he wasn’t referring to China.. 😅
This guy had not made one excuse about losing the 2016 final. Not once he has blamed referees or draymond suspension or injuries to starters or him not being fully fit. In fact he blamed himself for taking bad shot at the end of game 7. He always gave credit to cavs team for the win whenever he was asked. I think that’s the most respectful thing about him.
@jadworld that’s like saying Heat could’ve beat Lakers in 2020 if Bam and Dragic weren’t injured since they took 2 games and were bigger underdogs. Plus that team played better defense w/o Kyrie and Love. That’s why they won those games in the first place. They lost game 1 when Kyrie played 4 quarters
Yeah 3-1 4-0
Cavs should’ve won in 2015 they almost did with mosgov and delly but really needed kyrie and Love fit. Once they got Durant Those rings they got didn’t count imo
@Aaron Kneesmith no he’s not
That’s not respectful. It’s coo but y’all been conditioned to not speak truth. Like stuff.
I'd love to see you and Seth on the same team b4 you give b-ball up
“Cant be good at everything big fella” 😂
So inspirational… 😭
I love that he says he's better without question right away.
His confidence in this video is much higher than I usually see in his interviews. I think he's now publicly embracing his greatness
@Mason. N kids will just say anything 😂
@Angelo23 the greatest shooter never missed the playoffs delusional casual kid
I thinks he’s always been confident but nothing was official so he downplayed, now he is officially the best ever and he’s finally embracing it.
I'd be confident too if I was undoubtedly the greatest shooter in NBA history
OMG steph I’d my fav player I love him so much such a good three point shooter we love you steph
