BEST EXPERIENCED WITH HEADPHONES, CAPTIONS ON, ALONE IN A DARK ROOM.
Without headphones its good
Confia
I do not recommend you do this in a dark room. please just don't.
alone in a dark room? are fucking kidding me? i’m looking for entertainment, not fucking permanent nightmares.
Correction: more terrifying experience
the voice acting was a lil awkward at first, but they NAILED that climax. good work to all around
yeah 😭😭
Acting?
Honestly it would be pretty awkward to try and treat demons as a everyday thing
@Jack Daniel True so everybody was being played what a mad lad
You can’t have Mandela Catalogue without subpar, cheesy dialogue. The creator makes fun of it in Scrimblo Catalogue, he’s very self-aware and embraces it. I think the semi-comical baseline that’s established in the beginning ends up making the later scares more impactful, because the mood goes from kinda silly to super serious.
“Nothing is worth the risk”
Jesus, this cat has very good handwriting for a cat
That's not a cat THATS NOT A CAT
Me when that showed: thaTS NOT A CAT! THATS NOT A CAT!!!!
mrow mrow
How would the cat even write on the wall with short stubby legs and nothing to write with
Demon, trying to scare Adam: "OMG BEHIND YOU!!!"
Adam: "Shut up"
@MarcelloMania you sure?
@Henry Su you know there are alternates so it means an alternate was pretending to be jonah
@Marquavious Zemboobwa Dingle III it is Jonah and IT AS NOT A DEMON
@Henry Su no it’s the demon pretending to be Jonah
Jonah is saying behind you
I started crying when we saw the pictures where Jonah starts saying he's worried and doesn't wanna leave without Adam 😭
Yeah......................
Tf is this comment section
@♡Miss_Mxchi♡ i don’t even ship enyone in the mandela catalouge 💀
YEAH
Okay now your just making this like a ship😭
This one was really good. I felt. The characters really had time to develop and show. Even the Alternates, or whatever was talking to Adam and Jonas at the end were, had some character. Like when they were talking to Jonas they continued to torment him with how he left Adam behind, but when they were talking to Adam they felt weirdly sincere. Like they were trying to scare Adam, but they were failing, because Adam just wasn't getting scared, so what results is a really interesting dialogue, mainly because it's the first real one we've seen in this series between a character and an Alternate, with both parties aware of what the other is (or rather is not, as Alternates have conversed with people in this series before, but while pretending to be someone else). I don't know if my interpretation of the conversation is correct, but here's what I think is going on.
Adam confronts the Alternate, and given his equipment laying on the floor, and the low angle of the camera, I imagine he sat down got himself comfortable to spend a while there, showing how unafraid he is, and that he's spent a long time trying to get to where he is right now. Remember, from what Jonas said, Adam didn't just let curiosity get the better of him right there in the house, he's been trying to find an alternate for a long time, ever since his girlfriend/wife/sister/mother/childhood friend/whoever the 'she' they talked about is, was taken. I also love the fact that, in addition to the meowing, the alternate shows a picture of a cat, because, for all the forethought that went into Adam's decision to walk down those stairs, he still is like Adam taking a bite out of the apple, or in more modern times, the proverbial cat in the phrase 'curiosity killed the cat', so it's almost like the alternate is taunting him with this.
Given the face on the screen staying still by the time Adam has set up, it appears the Alternate didn't try to do anything first to try to scare him into showing his fear or do anything aggressive like that. It's like it's not only recognised how calm Adam is, but acknowledged that he is here of his own free will. It doesn't need to do anything to trap him or do whatever it does when it finds a victim, because he's here because he chose to be here and he's not going to flee. Every other character in this situation is trapped by an Alternate, they were their prey, and their resulting fear is what let them be captured. But both Adam and the Alternate know this encounter is different. As much as I imagine the Alternate would like to change the situation, currently, Adam is not the Alternates prey. And the Alternate seems to acknowledge this as it speaks with Adam. It almost feels like the Alternate treats Adam as an equal. When Adam asks the Alternate a question "What are you...[?]", the Alternate actually answers. Granted, it's answer doesn't make sense, "you don't remember me" (you need to have closed captions on to see it), but the fact that it answered shows some level of regard of Adam as more than simply prey. I like to think the Alternate holds some sort of begrudging respect for Adam.
Then the Alternate asks Adam a question. "What have you done?" I'm not entirely sure what this means, especially given Adam's confusing answer "I did the right thing." But I think what it meant was coming down to the Alternate and pushing Jonah away, given its next lines "nobody is coming to help you nobody knows where you are", and Adam attempting to radio Jonah to no response. What happens next is interesting, because it seems to be using this as a tactic to scare Adam to capture him, but is also genuinely curious about Adam. It tells him "nobody knows", before asking "Do You Understand?". I think it's asking him if he understands the danger he is in, like it actually wants to know why he's not scared. But I also get a weird feeling that it's asking for permission or something, like how in a hospital they ask you if you understand the risks of a treatment or someone reading you your rights. Not sure if that means anything, but that's the vibe I got.
Didn’t mean to dislike, meant to like
I’m not reading all of that but good for you.
@giant taco god intruder is an alternate, because alternates exist kna. Different plain of reali
I think Adam got a little more frightened while being down there. (not by a lot)
When Jonah is trying to radio him and he calls out his name, his tone of voice sounds scared. Might be confusing it with curiosity but idk.
ok
This is your best work yet. I'll save my theories for now, but using a pre-established world to tell personal stories of torment at the hand of the supernatural is incredible. That argument at the end gave me an entirely new outlook on what is happening and how it affects the people in this world. Also, that scene of Adam wanting to know what they're saying intercut with Adam in the garden biting the forbidden fruit is excellent. You're really showing some skill not just as a world builder, but as a storyteller. I am so excited to see where the series and your future writing endeavors go from here, congratulations man.
Please do part 2 when the time is right.
it's giant daddy!
the fact that Adam says "we could do tonight if you want." and the lady says "how about 3 nights?" seeing that she might be a alternate and thought he said "two nights"
another thing I noticed is that she went on a business trip and left her doors UNLOCKED before even making a appointment with this two, Adam and Jonah never have a key to the house, so she wouldve had to keep it unlocked. I find it weird how someone would keep their door unlocked while they were on a business trip not even having one thought of possible burglars or that Adam and Jonah couldn't set up in that span of time. idk this is just what I think/noticed lol
@internets0up bro she hears things in her house but she is not in her house because she left
yeah "woman" in the credits has quotes around it too, so either she's an alternate or women aren't real
Yeah also what’s weird is she left the doors to her house unlocked but she left one door locked in the house if you unlock your house door you might as well unlock everything
the first female voice was of Alex's mother (check desc!!) But the second one, the "do you understand" line is definitely the woman. It even sounded like a person speaking through a phone
I'm pretty sure near the end of the volume where Adam is lured into the basement, you could hear the voice of the lady who was on the phone when the TV alternate speaks with Adam.
The way the alternate responds to "I did the right thing." makes the alternate sound weak and powerless, scrambling for something, and this is because alternates physically can't hurt you, just tell you things in hope you end yourself, but when the alternate can't do that... it scrambles for power and a weak spot.
@GreyBox FNAF oh ok thank you
@Call Ofduty An Alternate is a clone of a normal person but have impossible features
@SasukeUchiha what's an alternate?
What's an alternate?
@TheHalo2Guy if there is a hole there’s a goal
At 17:26, I just noticed that what "Adam" is saying isn't on the his side, indicating that he isn't speaking.
Both Ceaser and the Mother are still there, one hiding in the car with Jonah, the other following Adam. They torture both to get to their minds. While Adam was shocked about what Jonah was saying, the Alternate in the car told Jonah to go. That's why Adam tried to radio Jonah while in the basement. Because he didn't say it, the Alternate did.
Interesting...
Good theory
14:15 made me feel a feeling i didnt know i had, the image with the uncanny whispering language made me horribly uncomfortable, and it wasnt even a loud jumpscare
verbalase thanos beatbox:
I KNOW RIGHT, I was terrified when i saw it and immediately closed the video 😭😭
@veri / king crayola hampter
hamster
It looks like a comically long rapper tbh
Has anyone noticed that when the woman on the phone said “when is the next opening?” and Adam said “is tonight ok?” But the woman thought Adam said “is two nights ok?” and so she said “how about three nights?” this goes along on how she’s most likely and alternate, and they are not a perfect duplication or can’t perfect human speech.
@Luke The Legend It is grammatically correct, just not something that people really say. She could've been trying to convey something a little different than what you're assuming.
Actually, the woman said "can you do... Three nights?" which seems a logical response to me.
Guys I'm not and alternate! Please forgive me.
Oh
The thought of there being an Alternate that can attack through electronics with screens and kill you without ever actually being there is absolutely horrifying
That’s not an alternate
Little Nightmares 2 in nutshell:
18:22 When i was 7 i had a wind up music box and it played this exact music and the way my heart dropped to my stomach when i heard it here...
i still have the box that plays that, it was the only thing that comforted me when I was 6 and life was hell. Ruined the whole creepy vibe tbh
Dude it’s just a black screen there, wdym
@cruel fi the music box that plays
What music box? There's just a blackscreen at 18:22 smh don't try to stare us
I can just imagine Adam trying to play scramble with the alternate after getting bored down there
biblical stuff aside, adam is the type of guy to get killed first in a standard horror movie and jonah is the guy that dose all the stuff that people say they would do if they were in the movie. its so funny how alex flipped this trend on its head.
“Nothing is worth the risk.”
That is truly a horrifying message.
Nothing is worth the risk.
Nothing is worth the risk
@name holy shot that was funny
That part where Jonah tried saving Adam really wrecked me.
As a best friend, you can only do so much...
jonah: *screams in terror *
adam: omg dude stoooop it's not funny
I love the detail of them talking about how stupid it is to outlaw something like a GPS because there's no way something could get you through it, and then at the end Jonah gets tormented by something through the GPS. Incredible storytelling, keep up the great work!
Interesting how the one that fled the scene was named Jonah…you know, the dude who bolted so he didn’t have to go to Nineveh and got swallowed by a whale?
Also the quiet crying at 20:07 broke my heart. These poor guys.
Who else found it incredibly suspicious this woman asked 2 strangers to stay at her house to guide a dead cat to the spirit world for 500 dollars a night?
@Ajay Dubey yeah...
@Day Off agree
Me I think the woman was an alternate and the cat to
Me cus it was funny and kinda suspicious
not me
In case someone didn't know: The error code 333 made me wonder what the angel number 333 meant, and it's said to be this: encouragement in making the correct choices in life
I’m beginning to understand what’s so terrifying about this ARG. It’s utilization of the uncanny valley. One of the most primal fears in humans that makes us shiver is the distorted human form. This series knows this and uses it perfectly.
"OH HELL YEAH!" Adam really likes money 💀
Jonahahha🫵🏽👁👁
but he really does im like that
11:40 I know this isn’t exactly profound but I saw no one talking about this, the apple and Adam being scared may be a representation of M.A.D.
Just had a realization: Based on the credits, the "woman" listed is voiced by Faith Cunningham. You know who else was voiced by Faith Cunningham? Cesar's mother in Volume 1, the one who screams after the door opens. It's also not a coincidence that the same house from Vol. 1 is where they went to here in Vol. 2. My theory is that it was her (or at least her voice) that called them at the start about the cat to lure them into the house.
They’re just reusing the voice actor dude, you’re overthinking it
It's an alternate of Cesar's mother who lured them
HOLY THE WOMEN IS SALAD’S MOTHER
You know who else was voiced by Faith Cunningham? MY MOM
maybe the alternate copied her voice to use as a woman like it did with jonah
I honestly love 14:36 and up, the voice acting, the TV screen imagry, it's all just so good and suspenseful.
18:31 BITCH I had a music box with that exact music and sound ! The only one I ever had in my possession.
Yeah man stop trying to scare us.
Wait
Who turned on my tv?
What music box? There's just blackscreen at 18:31 smh don't try to scare us
This is probably the less scary, but more lore related, catalogue.
I love how Adam is so nice and kind to his customers, and calling them by formal names. He sounds like a person that would just kill his customers anger with kindness. What a dude
These alternates are just trying to get Jonah to kill himself because there’s no proof Adam is dead, And that’s what making Jonah hysterical, He without a doubt has M.A.D cause the alternates were telling him that Adam would and is dead and that he’s a terrible person for leaving him behind. Those alternate voices sound like the “angel” Gabriel. I can tell Jonah was already scared in the first place trying to cover it up by not taking this seriously and trying to act like nothing is wrong, and saying this lady is on dr*gs and really high, which is quite offensive. I may be wrong but it’s just what I caught up
my take:
Adam was the baby that vanished and her committed suicide as seen in that tape from vol.1, his mum was killed by an alternate but they never found her. Adam spends his life hunting alternates but they dont go after him because he is not afraid, he is more pissed. So in this video, he finally encounters an alternate because he brings a companion who reeks of fear so it actually wants to hunt them. As seen in "Don't make me wake the others adam" it tries to scare him, but it doesn't work. It also shows that there is likely more than one. So one of the alternates goes after Jonah and kills him after he gets out of the car. And the other stays behind to try to torment Adam, and judging from its appearance being identical to the one from when Adam's mother committed suicide, it may actually be the same alternate talking to him that made him disappear as a baby all those years ago.
I don’t think Jonah died, I will explain why. I don’t know if this is right but I think alternates cannot kill people, so they make give people fear to make them kill themselves. When Jonah got out of the car, he could have gone out to puke because after lots of stress it’s normal for people to puke. If he had killed himself, wouldn’t we have heard a noise? But it’s possible I’m wrong though.
@Natrexin you know, victim does not mean that they're dead, just affected badly by something
Wow
What if Adam is a sleeper agent being awoken by the intruder saying "Wake up" and warns him that he will awaken the other sleeper agents if he fails
It's so sad, to see that how they parted ways in the end and how Adam finally felt some fear after being threatened by the alternative and tried talking to Jonah, dude we could fell that, an the way an alternative pursued Jonah, the way adam was locked inside that room and it all ended that, that was amazing
I'm pretty sure the "oh my god behind you" line wasn't actually said by Jonah, but the alternate was mimicking him instead.
This is also clearly hinted by the subtitles, which do not say "Jonah:" but instead, they just repeat the line over and over again.
this episode reminds me of paranormal activity, but it feels more genuinely scary than that entire franchise
props for whoever voiced Jonah, i felt the emotion in his argument and it made it more impact full
Amazing work, great, fun and creative use of all sorts of resources lol, the world-building and storytelling keeps you hooked and shows you the impact the events of the story have on the characters, thats some good shit
You know this is good when your fav content creator shouts it out.
19:55
imagine if yall collab
I can't wait for number 4
when martin and alex becaume Friends
I was in my room with no lights but I kept getting paranoid and I heard a sound at my door, it was just my mom knocking to give me some water lol
how tf did i miss this one??? ? this is cool as hell, def builds upon the previous uploads in a big way... i love how you use the subtler elements introduced in the 'PSA' tapes and apply them to a real scenario
it's interesting to finally see how these things communicate, and the analog format in this one is somehow way more believable for me
18:16 When the Images start switching, I saw an image from vol. 1 it was the Image of Mark and Cesar Torres speaking but Cesar's picture was reversed.
another picture I noticed is the alternate from 14:15
Another picture I saw was the alternate called "N"
And also I saw the picture from Mandela Catalogue : Intruder alert, which is the hanging person fthat appears when it says "Distraught at the sight of her missing infant" I wonder why are there these images that were from the other episodes.
bro i absolutely love analog horror especially this. i love how he uses actual like real footage and stuff just shows how dedicated he is too this film.
1:45 this made me laugh really loud, just the creepy and tense tone then just "OH HELL YEAH!"
"what have you done?"
"I did the right thing."
"nobody's coming to help you"
"I like those odds."
That last exchange between Adam and Jonah is genuinely heartbreaking. I don't know what all that has gone on but it's gutwrenching that it ended that way.
me: stubs my toe
my entire nervous system:
14:15
HOW THE FUCK DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO REALIZE THAT NOT ONLY IS ADAM NAMED ADAM BECAUSE HE TOOK A BITE OUT OF SOMETHING HE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAVE, BUT JONAH IS NAMED JONAH BECAUSE HE RAN AWAY FROM THE PROBLEM OUT OF FEAR LIKE THE BIBLE JONAH WHO RAN AWAY FROM GOD
Oh my god, you’re so smart.
Its game theory time
That explained why Overthrone (VOL 1, TAPE 1) exists.
....damn it, I just figured that out too.
the guy named goliath: 😳
the guy named lucifer: B^)
Scary thing was I was halfway sleeping and when it said “open your eyes”
I opened my eyes awake and it made the scary whispers. Coincidence??
Interesting how when Adam tells jonha to leave, there's no words on the screen. It makes me think it may not have been Adam who said that
Adam almost won, unfortunately however, this no simple alternate. It knew adam wouldn't be scared and locked the door so Adam would be curious about whats on the other side, it even made Adam angry at Jonah and perhaps even tell Jonah to go away (evident when Adam told Jonah to go away, but it wasn't on the left aka Adam's side), ensuring when Adam did go through the door, he won't be able to go outside, and even Adam manages to find a way out, it also said that "nobody is coming. Do you understand?", which could mean either one, or more of these things i list
1. The lengths of an alternate going to get a prey is amazingly long
2. This alternate knew adam was a hard prey to kill, and this is what it did
3. This was the intruder, and it was the same one adam encountered before (thus the "you don't remember me?", and it held some respect for someone who could escape its first encounter, but it made sure he would not do it again
This voice acting is on point, and the building tension the whole time is spectacular. You're an inspiration to me honestly
That repeated "OH MY GOD BEHIND YOU" was chilling, the worst was the fact I couldnt tell if something was actually trying to warn Adam or trick him into turning around since in the previous video, it was shown that by avoiding looking at an alternate you would (supposedly) be safe. I also wonder if Adam was taken over by some kind of force, whether that was he was manipulated by gabriel or by something else. These guys clearly have some expierence with alternates and seem like they know at least somewhat how to handle them, so it just seems idiotic in this world to follow what is obviously something inhuman luring you. It's either that or Jonah and Adam's fight pretty clearly indicates that one of them, probably Adam, lost a loved one to an alternate and they wound up where they are because they tried to find them, so maybe the alternate tricked Adam into thinking this would redeem him or help whoever he lost. That clip of bible Adam may also indicate that by him trying to understand whatever the voice was saying was like taking a bite of forbidden fruit, he now knows something and theres no way to go back.
@MetaKnight964 Have you actually watched the whole series? Whatever Gabriel you're thinking of is not what we're talking about
OH MY GOD BEHIND YOU!
@MetaKnight964 where do that come from?
Gabriel doesn't manipulate humans, that's a demonic trait.
No I think Jonah is supposed to be Eve tempting adam in this case to look behind him
I noticed that names have a really important place in this second volume, Adam is the one who was the first man created and who bit in the forbidden fruit, and Jonah represent Jonas, the prophet in charge of spreading god's repressions to humans because of their sins, but he ran away being caught by the threat. Exactly as the characters did. Ok, Adam was to curious and went into this cave but I don't think it is what is represented by the bite of the apple, I think it's the "right thing" that he said to the intruder after being ask by this evil creature "What have you done ?".
I find it kinda oddly wholesome that the guys actually went to help with someone’s cat
Even a good few weeks past this part being published, the argument between Adam and Jonah continues to unsettle me, its so raw, so painful, it is incredibly well done
Still a masterpiece, with this yet well thought more "modern" style
Adam bit the fruit by going in that house.
Jonah hid from his consequences like In the Bible but he was in a car instead of a boat.
Nice storytelling Mr kister.
And the alternate says to jonah who are you running from? Before he kills him
jonah in bible left his crew and was devoured by a big fish (maybe he encountered an alternate but he luckly escaped cuz we can see him on teaser 3)
It's safe to say that he's a little...fruity. *badum tss*
the woman said 3 days, and jonah was in the fish's mouse for 3days and 3 nights!
@Abegail Petallar great analysis
I love how at the intruder part you can see an image of Mark Heathcliff and Cesar Torres, The Preacher (the weird big mouthed alternate), what we can presume to be Adams mother hanging, her head hanging down, Mark and his sister, the detectable alternate from Vol. 1, and more. It’s showing Adam EVERYTHING that has happened in the Mandela County in Vol. 1.
Man this is so awesome, Alex! I love to see great analog horror, even if it may be a little terrifying!
absolutely out standing stuff. god i don't know how long it's been since i've seen something so haunting. master class can't wait to see more
16:00 The guys are just having a dramatic call while the cat is meowing like an EAS alarm
INSANE WORK. CANNOT WAIT FOR WHATS NEXT. YOU ARE A MASTER AT YOUR CRAFT.
Oh hi Zach! *shakes hand*
HI ZACH
Just watched your vid!
ZACH HIII
Exactly 😎
Oh my god, I can't wait to see where this goes! Great series, I hope there is more to come
I just got out of bootcamp and I've been so hyped for more from this series.
holy shit dude, I completely underestimated your work when I first watched your videos, this is insane. much love, from a big analogue horror enthusiast
Man this is such a step up from season 1! As someone who wasn't scared from that season, this one gave me the chills. Props to you!
My theory: Adam is still alive, as he was more pissed then afraid, and alternates feed on fear. Jonah is the one it went after because he's the one pissing his pants.
@James Davenport god damn it do you people not read anything below my original comment
@Ozen the Lewdable though I agree casualties don’t always mean death I think jonah is dead atleast at 20:10 he’s not puking but getting pulled in by the intruder
@good boi Casaulties are a war term meant to define loss of manpower in any way. Most casualties are wounded men, or captured soldiers, or the dead. basically just out of action.
Correct. However, I don't care
Hey, at 11:25 when Jonah says "dude, that's not funny" the closed captions say it's Jonah, but you hear Adam's voice at the same time saying the same thing.
Dang, bro, I love this!!! I'm looking forward to what Adam and Jonah's fate is. And I really have nothing to say to how great this is. Great work!!!
Your best work yet. I just got in to ARGs and I have to say this might be my favorite one so far. Your storytelling is amazing!
"do not make me wake the others" love the especially ominous vibes of the lines in that particular scene.
I haven’t had nightmares in over about two years about characters I find disturbing. But guess who had a SERIES of them last night? Alternate stuff, alternates faking being humans, alternates that wouldn’t leave and waited until no one was watching to strike family members like my brother. If that doesn’t tell you just how frightening these characters are, I don’t know what will. Good fucking job on this. 👍
I think it’s important to note that “Error 333” isn’t a real error code and was actually used as a scam to trick people into phoning listed numbers and assumedly giving away personal details, like passwords. Perhaps it was still tricking people in this sense, but instead to make Jonah show their fear so the alternates can actually get to them. Plus, it seems like alternates are all about tricking people so I thought it was a cool link.
somehow I was try to Brightness the error 333 if there's more inside this picture and i got nothing.
@SQUARESCAPE official 999 is the Holy Trinity (I think) 333 is the arch-angel Gabriel, the one that fought Satan, and the one that guides and greets people to heaven.
The number 333 is also biblically said to imply moving on/ listening the voices of higher power/ follow the guiding angel. So that also fits the biblical theory, that these are demons, trying to lure and tempt us to hell, and using the voices of loved ones, or those that are trusted, they have mastered their craft
@Marc Gillihan yes I was thinking this
angel number 333 means that an angel is trying to send you a message. it can also mean that an angel is always there
Dude, that was ASOME, i love this videos, pls keep doing it
i really like how at the end you can hear jonah very, very quietly crying as he is driving
14:20 I’m sorry I could not take this seriously and burst into laughter. Just the scream mask and the “ssssskfshssssssskpsfssssssssss” combined make this moment hysterical to me.
Alex kister shoutout to you this is so good it's a story that grips you all the way Through. I when first watched I thought it was a master piece and it still is great storytelling
An interesting point to note is that an alternate actually messes with GPS signals. This can be seen from various sections in the video. Before reaching the house, the GPS signal was green and strong. However, at the house, the GPS signal turned to 4/10, in the yellow range. When the alternate properly started to torment them, there was no longer a GPS signal, red. You can also see this when Jonah stopped the car. The GPS signal is red. I suspect that the closer an alternate is, the more the GPS signal is distorted, making it an effective method to track/try to run away from the alternates.
I just think it's safe to assume an alternate's vessel is any form of visual technology. At the beginning the dashcam states the video might be damaged because of blank (we can only deduce it to be am alternate), then the GPS signal scrambling as well as the TV and radio contact between Adam and Jonah
Reminds me of local 58
clever
@Arachnid "Your destination is above you"
Maybe the alternate can sense the GPS and csn track you down with it and that's what happened to Jonah.
Nothing makes me afraid of the dark more than this type of horror. Dim shapes in the dark, goosebumps up my entire body when I see the lamp in the corner
As much as I'm enjoying the series so far, it definitely struggles in the realm of dialogue, I have to say. I love how you work with presence and stillness! Hopefully you can iron out the acting and writing as you keep working.
I love these movies! Whoever makes them is so talented
I thought I’d comment one of my vol 1 theories on this video as the actual vol 1 video is age restricted and there ain’t no way in hell I’m giving google my id:
So, my theory is, that the toddler assessment stress test was conducted by the police. My reasoning for that is that during section two, a ”ding” sound is played when there are pictures of ”good things” which were the images of a cat, baloon and a happy family. And then when we see the pictures of the scary place by the stairs, there’s the same sound but lower in pitch. This, according to me, means that they try to connect those images to something negative in the brains of children (as the lower pitch is a thing that will naturally make our brains assume it’s something bad), and therefore make them keep away from alternates, that try to abduct/game-end the kids, as we saw in intruder alert.
The tension built up during their final argument with the cat meowing incessantly in the background was horribly amazing.
Me: u drank all the fucking milk man..- **epicly gets vacuum and a gun** GIVE ME MY GOD DAM MILK BACK MAN GIVE ME MA-
Tom: AAAAAAAAA.. AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA
me: GIVE ME MA MILK MAN- 14:16
the cat : 😺" yall hear sumn"
True as FUCK YOU speaking straight gobeldigoop
the alternate downstairs vibing to them arguing be like:☺
Holy shit dude this is terrifying. I was wearing earbuds and talking to my brother and around 14 minutes I saw the long face and the sounds. Keep up the amazing work.
I think it’s sad yet amazing how these two
Died. Btw the DID die noticing that the tape calls them both “victims” and also that Jonah got out of the car and an alternate that was already following him killed him. I also think the intruder is working against the alternates as he is taking away children that would eventually be replaced by them.
I'd have to say, the creepiest part to me about this is the GPS, since I used to own a GPS with that exact voice. It also used to have an alternative set of voices you could put, one being a strict personality, and another being a strangely unsettling gentleman's voice.
Man, i love those characters, i hope we will see more about Adam and Jonah. And i think, even if i might be wrong, that Adam is the brother of cesear, the alternate of the first part (victim two). And maybe because he went through those traumatic events, he does not feel fear anymore. By the way, i'm not sure if Jonah is an alternate or not. Maybe it is a new type, but he's acting really human-like. He makes jokes (like when hes taking a photo of adam while eating chips), hes worried for adam, and at the end, he sounds desperate. But on the other hand, sometimes, his voice "glitches" like the alternates, and he's even trying to scare adam (For instance, the "BEHIND YOU" thing). And at the end, when he seems to be mentally fighting against an alternate, i came up with two theories. The first one would be that there is another type of alternate that can enter the mind of people to take over their voice or body at some moments. The second theory would be that Jonah is inhabited by an alternate (As if it was possessed, but still able to keep control). And thinking of it, i might have one other theory, that is that Jonah is an alternate from the start, but cant attack Adam since he does not fear alternates. Thats it, those are my thoughts ! I loved that video, great job man !
9:38 Not sure if this was intentional or not, but I love how we're already used to alternates having their voices skip and glitch a bit, the actual regular glitches of the audio between the normal Adam and Jonah just talking still has our fear of the alternates in the back of our minds, even though (as far as we know at this point) Adam and Jonah are not alternates. That was definitely an alternate of Jonah at 10:41 trying to scare Adam though, since the real Jonah asks "What the hell did I do?", and I think Jonah eventually found out about this, which is what spooked him at the end when talking to Adam. They clearly have knowledge of Alternates, I don't think they would be trying to scare each other with that in mind since they also presumably know alternates latch onto fear.
No that wasnt jonahs alternate that wastge tv one remember thats the only alternate that we have seen manipulate technology
They definitely know alternates latch onto fear because when Adam mocks Jonah for being scared Jonah just repeats "I'm not scared." as though to convince anyone listening that he isn't afraid
Watching this on a dark night on a car ride with my family, what could possibly go wrong?
And thats where it went wrong.
This one give me Chills but this was still amazing like the other ones!!
14:14 this is the 1st time I’ve ever had a sinking feeling. It’s so uncomfortable and unnerving, yet also barely does anything. *Chef’s kiss*
one theory that i have is that adam is actually the child that went missing in the "intruder alert" video, what makes me a bit sure that this theory is true is at 18:19 if you read the closed captions it says "you don't remember me" that must be the alternate talking to adam, he knows adam because he is one of the children he had kidnapped but adam doesn't remember him since ya know he was still a kid, and that girl that jonah and adam were talking about (the one which jonah told adam that she's already dead) is actually adam's mother the same woman that killed herself in the "intruder alert" video, the same one which the alternate took her corpse away and that's probably why adam was interested in the alternates he wanted to know what happened to his own mother.
that 'OH MY GOD BEHIND YOU' almost made me tear up man. Never felt so much geneuine fear in ages.
Some y’all deadass extremely sensitive 🤦♀️🤦♀️
and the worst part is nothing ever happened, it just kept repeating
@lolly☆ I think it being the more conversational "Hey?! Who turned out the lights?" Males it even more eerie as its like the final fleeting thought he had moments before death much like this one, it properly gets under my skin
I'm a huge fucking scardy cat and I'm watching this alone
@InstilledPhear Silence in the Library
I would really love to see the Mandela Catalogue follow Adam and Jonah, it seems we would at least be following Jonah. It would be nice to actually follow characters instead of just getting 1 or 2 direct appearances of them and their name mentioned multiple times over
The most cutest thing I love is where Jonah said Oh HeLl YeAh he sound so innocent and excited✨😩
This is more of a rant/observation than anything substantive so fair warning to anyone who reads this expecting insight. I find the “wanted by the FBI” angle interesting, especially because it immediately transitions to them being labeled as victims 3 and 4. I wonder if the wanted poster is referring to their alternates-implying that these creatures to some extent have a fixed form-or if the wanted posters are just the clearest photos of them on record (this is what I lean towards). The line “you’re making us out to be gangsters when all we did was…get this stuff” is interesting to me, because it suggests that perhaps by 2009 simply having “contraband” electronics is considered such a serious criminal offense that it constitutes a federal offense with a six figure reward. This would seem to be supported by the fact that these guys are mystified by something as simple as GPS, and the fact that it tells you how far away you are from your destination-not only are these technologies relegated to the black market, but the history of them and what they do is kept under wraps to the point that young people born after 1990 (which is when it seems the destruction order went out) truly have no idea what these things did. This again strikes me as interesting because it very much does suggest that these entities use electronic media as a sort of doorway into the physical world, and that the way to stop them is to destroy these doorways-which is different from how they are presented in THINK principle, as entities with primarily corporeal presence that can be killed. It also makes me wonder if the fact that Soccer Game also takes place in 2009. Clearly shot on a camcorder, which is likely contraband. I wonder if 20 years after the order, the threat or perceived threat of alternates is so low that people have slowly begun to break the rules, allowing alternates to reappear in corporeal form.
When Jonah first yelled "Jonah: OH MY GOD IS BEHIND YOU" in the subtitles was signed "Jonah", but when he yelled the second time, the subtitles no longer signed his name?. Could this be the alternate who wanted to scare Adam?.
Yes.
If only this was an actual movie. If this ever becomes a full movie, I’ll totally watch it!
@Be Happy Uhhh... Okay. Who ever said it was?
@Jhonny Mark gov handles it? Its not like its real
If Hollywood EVER makes a movie about Mandela Catalogue, it would probably be so over the top with people shooting alternates using guns and the origins of the alternates being told, so it won't be great because it loses it's feeling of dread, loneliness, mystery and suspense.
Oh Netflix! We got a new series for you!
It needs to be an indie movie, Hollywood would just make it a generic jumpscare fest.
The static noise my Bluetooth earphone has really makes this a scarier experience
14:12 genuinely made me shiver it scared me so badly
This is honestly the scariest episode in the series. I almost 💩’d my pants when the hooded man came onscreen whispering like that.
Never sleeping with my eyes open when I go to sleep again
@محمد احمد عثمان🇸🇦 i wouldn’t know for sure but it’s possible it could be the skin and I’m just dumb.
I’m pretty sure the “hood” your talking about is part of the alternates skin.
Watched this with one of my friends, they didn’t sleep for almost a month😎
