I thank Guardiola for fair play and respecting the game by substituting Grealish, De Bruyne, Gundogan and Foden all at once when the score was 6:1.

    • STST
      STST Bulan Yang lalu

Fair play and respecting the game is scoring as many as you can with your best players on the pitch. To turn the throttle off and go easy and extremely disrespectful to the game.

Not gonna lie I wanted to see Man-U get completely demolished and humiliated beyond what the club has ever experienced, It would have been a huge feather in City's cap! It could have happened if City didn't make those changes lol. But I get it, When a game is well and truly over you just want to rest your fire players to give their all again.. And it's 3 points no matter the score. But letting them back in with 3 goals? I wouldn't have been happy with that! Win is a win though and it was still a big one.

@Demondoink True but as I say, it’s accurate to say City are the best Premier League team ever, 2018 City that is.

@Tom Ben yeah i agree if he stays on this form, or even half as good as this form, then it's only a matter of time before City win the Champions League. I mean it's only a matter of time regardless of whether Haaland is there or not, but it's good to keep the team grounded about their achievements when the biggest prize in club football has not yet been won.

Stn Bch 2 bulan yang lalu

@Bukagija You're overrating how good the PL and PL teams are this current strong cycle. The fact is that City is really really good and Klopp his side so far is the only challenger that can believably be rated better than the 2004 - 2010 top 4 sides.
Chelsea under and post Ambramovich was and still is a club that sacks its manager within like 30 months, they had and still have ups and downs. Tottenham is an insignificant title contender that fluked a UCL final => worse than Benitez his Liverpool and Wenger his Arsenal. United is a money wasting Europa League club for years now.

It was just difference in class , quality and these players for City have been playing together for years now trained by the best coach in the world. United players lacked that quality and chemistry as compared to City. Can't blame the players much here...as City were far superior today. It would take years for United to reach City's levels and Ten Hag must stay to coach these players. The players have glimpses of talent ( Lisandro , Anthony etc ) Just have to improve them and increase the chemistry.

the fact that we scored 3 goals makes us look better then we were, City should of won the game by atleast 7 goals but preserved their energy in the first half as well as subbing off key players when it was 6-1, as well counting the chances they had, this scoreline as mad as it seems as we've conceded 6 is extremely generous towards us because its not a reflection!

Jokes aside and purely an observation. Man uniteds front line seems OK. Even today they managed to still score and be a goal threat even when they were losing badly. Its everywhere else on the pitch they are struggling. The midfield isn't nearly good enough and the full backs are too poor. If they improve these areas they will be a lot better overall and more solid too.
Congrats to city. Outstanding performance today. 👏

I agree everything with Roy, I was just reading an article website on Sky sports and I saw the game today, I think we all have to agree that was the best performance in the first half of city I’ve ever seen,I really enjoyed it,watching city this is how teams should play,if you press high and put your opponent on the pressure, this is how city should do not only in the premier league but the champions league, every time city play whether in the semi-final or final, they are missing something but this first half play like that you will win a trophy.United should be embarrassed, you can get good results against a struggling team, you have to show in a derby match with passion and fight, unfortunately we didn’t see anything on United.

6-3 doesn’t even represent it, Guardiola always makes subs when there’s a 5 goal deficit (crazy this city side is good enough to have 5 goal lead protocols). Could have been 8+ if they pushed. United were terrible, getting close but not actually putting tackles in, just running next to the city players, a lot of players hiding and protecting themselves from blame

Whilst Kean has a point about this United team, Ten hag has only started working with them this season, 7 games in to be exact now compare that to Pep had city, Pep has been with that team for a while now had season after season of bringing in the best players. I would be worried if I was a city fan and they didn’t steam roll this “new” United side.

  • Randy Schwing
Randy Schwing 2 bulan yang lalu +1

I can only think TenHag got overconfident going into this one. If ever there was a game to play Casemeiro and McTominay in front of the back 4 it was this one. Then have Eriksen in front of them to try and pick out 3 fast forwards on the counter. Instead he thought he had the players to take City on.
    Big mistake.

This just marks what makes Guardiola the best manager in the world. Not many coaches can maintain this kind of motivation for matches and if you look at how many years he's been at City, he has made the team hungry to win everything. Klopp should learn a thing or two from Guardiola and not to be over reliant on certain players. Players need to get benched to alter their mindset to have a better approach to games. Conditioning is important, players get fatigued and complacent if they play week in week out

@Alexander Kings I think the money he made them over the years by being the best team around far out weighs that, in fact I’d argue it wouldn’t even be as much as a weeks wages of ronaldo who was on the bench today, for a club like United, pennies. Also he got rid of Keane who went to Celtic lasted 6 months an retired, hardly a loss, all of these players left and he kept on winning, I think he knew what he was doing

    • Alexander Kings

@Harvey Right, like if United needed his son to play for the club, or his brother sticking around.
I wonder what the wages were.
As for the legends, it's about respect. He got rid of Keane mid season after all he's done for United and without even explaining to him why.

man city squad is very deep, losing 1 or 2 players due to injury doesn't really affect the team because the team has a lot of talent. 1 player can beain in several positions. that's what Man Utd doesn't have. foresight to put 1 player not in his position is actually the genius of Pep Guardiola. The power gap is also very visible between Man City and Man Utd

  • PAUL MH

All i can say is fergie was the begginning and the end of utd after he left. The problems arent just down to the players as keane bangs on about. It goes higher than that when you change a winning back room staff and get bought by clueless owners this is what happens. I don't think utd will ever win the premier league ever again unless something changes. They can't keep sacking manager after manager ether. They have also thrown huge loads of money at each manager they have ever appointed after fergie left and it hasn't worked. It just goes to show that jose was the best appointment and utd sacked him. The owners have to take responsibility for the state of the club they need to sell utd to somebody else who knows what they are doing. It's embarrassing for that club when they were at the top of their game under fergie and it's all fallen apart!

As a United fan, I wasn’t that surprised. Varane is pretty slow in terms of his reaction time, and his defensive awareness was pretty awful. Malacia was getting ran past almost every time down the side, as well. Malacia is just a kid, and he’ll definitely improve, but Varane is not a long-term solution at CB, and United will a strong, athletic and quick CB to pair with Martinez next summer. Someone like Rudiger, Kounde, or even Pau Torres should be brought in. My only surprise is that ETH waited so long to take off Malacia and Varane, because those two were basically responsible for the first half goals.
