  • You asked for an affordable Dry Age experiment and today I deliver your request. Normally you dry age an expensive cut of meat as it takes time and patience to do. But after so many requests made I decided to make this video to see what would happen if I dry age a $1 dollar steak.

You also dryaged for 45 days. Try for a shorter amount of time. You don't dry muscle like that for that long of time.

did he really need a bbq light up assistant...to light up his flame. isnt that in the man handbook of growing up knowing how to start a fire??? ive started a fire with flint and also 3 sticks. and i cook my meat raw after the kill wtf am i watching.

Marco Contreras oooh big man kills his food and then makes his own fire like a Boy Scout. Chimney starters don’t need lighter fluid and are way easier and faster. It’s not a crutch it’s just better in every regard. Any professional would use one.

Edit: No offense but get to the point. There is soo much bla bla in this video. And every second sentence sounds.. i dont know what it is. Like forced entertainment?

That HUGE slab of meat cost a dollar being from the UK that would cost around £7-10 aprox on the size (and decent marbling!) with cheap cuts of meat i cook it in the pressure/slow cooker and it becomes so tender making BANG curries or stews....that would not last 45m in my refrigerator let alone 45 days.....hell na!!!! 😋😋✌🏼️

I heard you could use honey to soften meat because of the enzymes in the honey. I learned this from the anime food wars

  • Samantha Glocker

I would like to see you try salt-curing this. Not the way you salted in a previous video. To properly salt cure, heavily salt both sides, and leave the steak at room temperature for 2-3 hours. The steak should be sweating at the end of the 2-3 hours, but not so much that it's losing all its juices. This will break down the protein bonds in the meat. The steak will caramelise, and should barely need to be chewed, and just melt in your mouth. Don't re salt it when cooking.
