The last minutes show that people will do everything you want, if you're skilled in talking. Kinda cool but also frightening.

I don’t have a problem with getting new people to listen to me. However some of my closest life long friends and my brother will be really rude, disagreeable, and fail to listen to things I say. I don’t have this problem with everyone though. Sometimes things we say reflect courage, open mindedness, or out of the box thinking, and can trigger insecurities for many people and make them feel threatened.

I would like to extend my personal thanks to the cameramen for recording the audience looking ridiculous and to the editors for putting those clips in the final product. Made my day watching an entire huge audience making themselves look stupid with funny noises and facial expressions at the direction of someone on stage doing the same.
On a related note, it says a lot about just how good of a speaker he is. Not everyone is persuasive and charismatic enough to convince that many people to go "La la la la la la pthpthpthpthpth," in perfect unison.

All religions are like clubs ,if you don't belong you are the worst human being. Religions segregate people into factions. Muslims, Christianity, Hinduism witch craft, the masons, take your choice, all one big club. Do an idept study on religion and you will find it was invented for control purposes. The few that control the many for thousands of years understand how the human mind works so they invented clubs and religions to keep the peasants from thinking. Today millions of people rarely think for themselves, why should they, there's other people thinking for them. The most important thing for you to do is think but the most dangerous thing for the few that control the earth is for you to think. There are many denominations in America and each one claims exclusive rights to heaven and promise their followers the same. I have spent most of my life being a non joiner. Most everything I hear or read is regurgitated garb. Trust in yourself because everything else is a lie.

Trying not to judge here but spread this light: Technology Ecology Design. The E stands for Entertainment here, but that should be a given. We expect to be entertained. Why must technology leave behind Ecology? We’re just used to tech that’s at odds with our environment that sustains us. Before the environment no longer sustains us (climate chaos) sets in maybe we should push for such a platform cuz maybe tech can be helpful to face the rapidly upcoming challenges we are facing

It doesn't matter because life is temporary. In the end we go away to never be seen again. All of this is worthless. No matter what kind of speaker I am, it all ends. One day this speaker will be wearing diapers just like going in reverse. The truth is everyone is already dead.

    • Garden Joy

How dismal is the atheistic worldview. Even that word looks like 'die small'. Where the Christian knows, he is going to be with the Lord in heavenly realms, being loved and loving forever. Having everlasting peace and overwhelming joy. And it's not wishfull thinking, you know. For those that really want to know God on His terms, actually already do get in touch with Him, while living on this earth. The truth is: some of us are alive in their spirits already. What's stopping you? Seems you already know that you have nothing to lose.

There seem to be a few habits that are restricted to certain cultured. Like “exaggeration”: In Switzerland something really good will be labeled as “not bad” and so on. They actually tend to do the opposite of exaggeration - which can be dull at times. While Americans label everything that is remotely okay as at least “awesome” - really enthusiastic but difficult to take anything serious from a person like that.

  • Simon Taylor
Simon Taylor 18 hari yang lalu

if we did not develop language ,would we have developed telepathy ?

    • Warwick Lewis
Warwick Lewis 17 hari yang lalu

@Simon Taylor human knowledge is dynamic, what you are taught in school is how to learn how you apply this tool to your life is up to you.
It can be the foundation that, by experience, you build on.
Or it can become the mindless dogma of ignorance.
I went to church with my mother as a child but as I have grown up I realized that I am an atheist like my father.
History is written by men and men have self serving agendas therefore it is always wise to look to collaborative information such as archeology, art or other writers for confirmation.
The past is always a modern interpretation, we can never no for certain, of the details but we can take a pretty good guess by using this method.

    • Simon Taylor
Simon Taylor 17 hari yang lalu

@Warwick Lewis if we are taught something in school should we believe it ? does it limit us ? the bible is stories , history is guess work sold as fact . its rational to question whats around us .

    • Warwick Lewis
Warwick Lewis 18 hari yang lalu

@Simon Taylor why is it that otherwise seemingly rational people believe in the improbable.
Evolution is driven by need not want.
With perfectly serviceable communication systems, sight and hearing, inherited from our primordial ancestors there is no need to reinvent and re-evolve another.
Aboriginals are not some kind of magical wizards, they are like every body else's ancestors.... primitive, aggressive and superstitious.
Far from having evolved special superhuman abilities, they are in fact less evolved and have far lower intelligence quotas.
They speak simple languages with far fewer words, they don't need as many words because their lifestyle is less complex.
Their social connections are mainly based on gathering food with family members or tribal territorial battles these activities don't require the rich language skills of traders and skilled craftsmen seen in more complex societies.
Having said that I must admit i am not a complete sceptic.
I do believe we have a mental connection to family and close friends that allows us to feel if they are distressed or suffering.
This would serve a purpose in the process of genetic selection and has been reliably reported by many people.
But it does not replace language, feelings are not really communicating on the kind of complex level required for even simple social interactions between animals.

    • Simon Taylor
Simon Taylor 18 hari yang lalu

how do we know no other animals have developed it ? I am talking about auditory sounds ,visual imaginary , feelings ?. most of the brain is not apparently used . the aborigine's through years of passed down knowledge know lots about the 3 Ts . good lecture by the way :)
