People would literally listen to shitters for their "realness" Pat bev doesnt bring offense to their team and always gets cooked by guards. He can never lock up anybody the way jrue or draymond does, and thats like 90% of a player he is. He is always guarding superstar, 1 because he is expendable piece to a team and superstar gets more fouls, 2 he is physical defender 3 if he gets embarassed he doesnt lose nothing compared to premier defender like kawhi, giannis or jrue. This guy talks a lot for being a roleplayer. Always trying to stay relevant with his hot takes because we all know his game wont make him relevant

    • The Inktician
The Inktician 8 jam yang lalu +1

@Swimfan CP3 as a defender was prime from 06 to 2011. After that it was league bias - and other players at the same position being low standard. Rondo was considered the best PG defensively for about 4 years, including 2010. I'd take Andre Miller on defense before prime CP3

@Ted Hilaire but you don't give up as much when you can't hold CP3 compared to someone like Luka who will give you comparable assist numbers, but with double the scoring. Either way, he was mainly talking about defense, and CP3 has had the media favoring him every year cause of his connections

    • Inertia Air

I like this take because Stephen A didn’t really accept that from Pat. Pat can’t hold an aging CP3 let alone CP3 in his prime. I believe they forgot about CP3’s multiple All NBA defensive teams and leading the league in steals. Pat could be right with Chris’ age and height I can see how he may give less energy on defense.

nah. analysts do this for a living. they crunch numbers and watch decades and decades of sports looking from the outside and seeing everything for what it is. players only see themself and their own opinion. Idk, NBA players don’t really hold they tongue nowadays and say what they want. Everybody who played with CP3 says he’s an acquired taste and he’s not for everyone. No one has ever called him a bad teammate and he was president of the players association for almost a decade. I know his play style so I get it but what this really comes down to is Pat is still seething over that Rockets trade 😭😭😭

Finally someone on television comes out and honestly says what I’ve been saying for 10 years. The best thing about listening to PB give his opinion is he’s a current nba player, an elite player who knows what an elite skill set is not some hack so called analyst who never played in college let alone the nba. I think that what we need is all of the networks to only hire ex nba players to analyze and comment on the games. If you need a colorful set up person to host and run the discussion ok a non nba player is fine but all of these non playing self centered self righteous hacks all need to be fired.

Pat Bev is right, we need to give CP3 the same slander as PG and Ben Simmons. This is back to back years he’s given up 2-0 leads and he’s known as a playoff choker but since he’s the β€œpoint god” he gets a pass.

He used that same influence to get all-defensive selections he didnt deserve. There were years where guys like Avery Bradley, and John Wall should have been there instead - and when they did make it theyd put CP3 on 1st team inexplicably. Rondo's prime years too

He’s so full of it about being the best defender in the world though. He really thinks he’s a tougher defender than Giannis just because he’s barely rated better in one statistic. It’s a joke. He’s not even a top 5 defender. He can only cover guards and even then not the elite guards.

@Roland Reyna Your favourite player in the nba flops. Flopping works for everybody if u do it well enough. Most people don't seem to care when a player they like or is on their team flops. There's so many times people flop and the refs don't call it or call it and theres times u dont flop and the refs call it a flop or dont call foul. You prolly also know this already but incase u don't the refs hold their whistles more in the playoffs, so as a player if u want calls u might have to have a hollywood level Oscar worthy performance.
